My skin care routine is very simple. First I cleanse with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. It is so gentle and great to use all year around. I tried the daily facial cleanser but it dried out my skin. For make up removal, I pump some product into my hand and spread it onto the forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. Use your facial fingers, you middle and ring fingers, and massage upwards. Never downwards because this can cause wrinkles. Remove with clean, folded tissue. Then I cleanse once more, rinse with a warm water, and pat dry with a clean, dry face towel. Never used damp moist towels from the day before because it collects bacteria and mold.
After cleansing, I like to use Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner to close and tighten pores. Just apply a generous amount on a cotton pad and dab gently. If you do not have this, just simply splash cold water on your face.
Finally, I mix Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream and Cetaphil Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 in handy travel size bottle. I find that by using the facial moisturizer by itself leaves my skin feeling greasy. When the products are mixed, the consistency is much softer and creamier. Apply a dime sized amount with your fingertips onto your face. For summer time, I switch to the Cetaphil lotion.
All products dermatologist recommended, prices range from $6- $12 (depending what size you buy), and found at your local Target, Walmart, Costco, or your neighborhood drug store.
